Led by local residents Alan Blower and Nick Manning, the walk will take you around the Rushmere area to learn about the history and residents of the magnificent houses and the labourers’ cottages that overlook Rushmere Pond on Wimbledon Common.  Learn about the homes of Dukes, Countesses, politicians and military commanders, and discover the origins of a leading public school, historic public houses and a luxury hotel.

The afternoon will start at the Wimbledon Common Golf Club on Camp Road, where tea and cake will be provided whilst Alan and Nick give an introduction, before setting off on the walk at around 3.00pm.  The walk will then last for approximately 90 minutes.
