Wimbledon & Putney Commons Winter Talk: Ponds as a Habitat
February 7 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Voluntary Donation
The Commons’ 2023 Annual Winter Talk will focus on ponds, and their importance as a habitat for many different kinds of wildlife. There are nine ponds on the Commons which each provides its own varied habitat. They are home to not only swans, ducks and geese, but also to many fish and invertebrates.
The talk will be given by Dr Naomi Ewald – Technical Director, Part of the Senior Management Team at Freshwater Habitats Trust. Naomi is a freshwater ecologist with a particular interest in ponds, and the freshwater habitats and rare species of Important Freshwater Landscapes like the New Forest.
The talk is free of charge but donations would be welcome.
