In the first two weekends of December visitors flocked to the Wimbledon Wishing Trees to hang a bauble and make a wish in aid of stem4, a Wimbledon charity that promotes positive mental health in teenagers and those that support them. With this overwhelming support, organisers Ali Love and Julie Lenon, helped by a wonderful team of volunteers, were able to raise over £6000, an astounding sum and a reflection of the incredible generosity of our local community.
To see the trees – on Wimbledon Common, opposite the Windmill Café – please visit before January 2nd when they are due to be taken down. You can still donate: please click here to go to the event’s Just Giving page.
For more information on the charity please visit the stem4 website.
