Our beautiful, glass ceilinged Wimbledon centre sits on the edge of Wimbledon Village and has grown to become the largest Physiotherapy and Pilates Centre in all of Wimbledon.
Opened in 2008 APPI Wimbledon grew quickly to be awarded as ‘Growth Business of the Year’ in 2009.
On arrival you will be met by our ever helpful reception team who are there to assist you in every way. This unique centre has a boutique feel to it and you will immediately see and feel the difference of an APPI centre to any other centre you have been in before. Spearheaded by our amazing clinical manager Megan Vickers – APPI Wimbledon is SW London’s answer to all your Physiotherapy and Pilates needs.
The Pilates method is a mind-body conditioning programme initially designed for rehabilitation purposes during the early twentieth century. Pilates was later adopted by dancers as its philosophy blended well with their focus on core strength, co-ordination, flexibility and posture. Pilates is based on a set of principles which exercise the whole body through a range of mat and equipment based exercises. Pilates combines the co-ordination of deep postural and stability muscles, breathing and arm & leg movements with postural correction, suppleness and flexibility. With regular practice, Pilates positively changes the body.
More recently Pilates has been adopted by athletes, fitness enthusiasts and within the health rehabilitation sector. Pilates is suitable for all ages and levels of ability. Scientific research is beginning to provide evidence of its effectiveness on reducing pain, improving physical function, movement and well being.
At APPI Health Group we deliver an exceptional combination of a range of manual physiotherapy techniques with specialised exercise based rehabilitation programmes. Our highly skilled physiotherapists, who are also fully trained Pilates instructors, have a unique skill set which is currently in demand throughout London.
