The Thai, Loy Krathong festival – Sunday 29th October

The Thai,  Loy Krathong  festival is on Sunday  29th October. 10am until 5pm.

Loy means : to float

Krathong means : a floating object with decoration of banana leaves, flowers, candles and incense sticks.

The event is free to everyone. Thai floating flowers, dancers, music and dozens of Thai food stalls are to be found at The Buddhapadipa Temple which is Europe’s largest original Thai temple set in 4 acres of land at 14, Calonne Road, SW19 5HJ.

You would be forgiven for thinking you were in Thailand!

(parking is difficult on the day, so walking is recommended)
